Here are the remains of a turn of the century ball gown. Mostly the cotton tulle underskirt. In the right light you can see a faint blue and pink rose print on it. I used it to cover the back of "fairy dust". The perfect thing to allow a view of the crazy back story, while still holding it all together in a neater way.
"White coral bells, upon a slender stalk.
Lilies of the Valley deck my garden walk.
Oh, don't you wish that you could hear them ring?
That will happen only when the fairies sing!"
-an old favorite song (beautiful when sung in a round)
And now it will fly across the country. I hope it will carry ringing and singing.
