This week, so much has happened that I can't even remember what all did. One of the big delights started last summer when The Digital Cloth Magazine reached out for an article about my making. It came out this week, and one of my boats made the cover!
It's always a good process to spend time reflecting about the what and whys of what I do. One constant is the essential role Jude and this community have had. This circle of makers are at the heart of my journey. Continued thanks to you all, oxo!
The article is several pages, and in the very good company of other makers. The e-magazine can be ordered here. (E-magazine means that it is not a physical magazine, you will be sent a PDF to read it on your computer or phone).
The days are dark and wet for the most part. I don't mind, except for the light.
Yesterday, 7:30 am ferry ride to M's was pretty.
At 7:45 it was glorious.
She worked on her computer across the room while I stitched by the windows.
There was a moment of mushroom admiring.
At one point, she remembered that she had checked a book out of the library the day before and wanted to share it with me. As she pulled it out, I reached into my bag saying, "I got a book from the library yesterday, too, and brought it to show you..." We had a good laugh.
7:30 pm
Today I'm trying to finish up a few pieces that I rediscovered in the piles. Some day I'll clear the table. Maybe.
There were other happenings, too. Barely time to join the White Rabbit in saying, "No time to say, Hello! Goodbye!" For now...things are messy, but good.
