So, yesterday, half an hour on a school bus with 25 excited 4th graders on their way to a field trip, three hours in a small space with them as they rotated through the activity, some of that time was in a smaller room with a noise making art installation, which was wonderful and very cool, but also Very Loud, and then back on the bus with 4th graders who had been kept inside Too Long.
On to Blue's baseball game. The first inning lasted an hour, and Blue's team was ahead 20-0. Everyone felt bad, on both sides. It was painful to watch, so I decided to leave and go to a swimming class with a friend. Traffic was terrible. Half an hour across the city. Less than five minutes into the class, suddenly, "Everyone, out of the pool!" There was an "accident," it came from the children's class going on in the shallow end, and that's all I'm going to say about that.
So we dried off and went for a walk.
The flowers were so pretty that even my old flip phone was able to catch some of it. We had a really good walk and talk, just what we both needed.
Last night I started digging out all the pink scraps I could find.
