The plan for today was to drive up north with a friend to see a gallery exhibit I've been looking forward to. She was willing to drive and I was willing to stitch on an overdue baby quilt she's been dragging her feet on. She cancelled.
So, then the guys were going to take me. K would drive while I knit on the sweater I started a week ago. Moon got sick.
If Moon was feeling better this morning we were going to leave the boys and just the two of us would go. He was not.
Instead, I spent the first half of the day taking him to urgent care for a strep and mono test, and the time in the waiting room discovering a big mistake and ripping out the last week of knitting. It's probably strep.
The rest of the day was spent stitching. I love the orange mixed in.
And last piece of birthday cake was eaten, with tea.
These bright colors startle me every time I open this piece up. It's good for me.
It seems to be a requirement for fifth graders to ask me what my favorite color is? They are always surprised when I answer "Blue and brown," but when I add, "twilight blue and cocoa brown," they nod with understanding.
