In fact, very little of it is. And that's ok, usually.
Blue came home so sick. Arriving at midnight, he went straight to his bed for two and a half days. I fed him juice and toast. Last night he emerged feeling better, and took off with friends. Sigh.
Moon is working through some things, including the return of his big brother, and a very hard science class. I am working through how best to help.
At one point one of them couldn't talk and the other was refusing to.
Honestly, it's all one big muddle, with me talking, yelling, cajoling, eye rolling, and hugging (when they let me). Taxiing and cooking dinners when I can, ordering pizza when I can't (last night).
At one point yesterday, I dropped my head on the table and said, "Who's idea was it to do this parenting thing?!?"
And, it's been strangely satisfying and comforting to stitch dots and stars in the same color as the fabric on the Moon Cabin cloth (a thank you to Jude, for naming it).
