Thinking on Jude's SunMoonStars Diary. Mostly on stars.
Star-storming: At school a hand is raised, with fingers wide-spread by the teachers, saying, "Be a star," and the children mimic the motion as they quiet down. Calling the students "rockstars" for praise, and starring their papers for brilliance and encouragement. Blue's favorite stuffed buddy, when he was little, a Dalmatian he named "Blue Star," etc.
And then the thought, "Can anything be a star?"
With eyes closed, five scraps were drawn out of the basket.
So, the star cloth is going to have some color. Rainbowed. Didn't see that coming. I suppose that's the way of stars. And don't you love knowing that they're always there, whether or not they're visible? Making the moments they peek and shine through, here and there, a happy treat.
